Who sells Greater Southern MLS?
Participating Associations – Currently SWLAR and NABOR. SWLAR has gained several new MLS Only subscribers from all over the state.
What brokerages are shareholders of Greater Southern MLS?
100% of Brokerages in SWLAR; 60+ of Acadiana market share; 7 of the top 10 Brokerages in New Orleans based on FY 2020 Transaction Dollars; brokerages representing nearly than 6000 agents and 40% of transactions statewide; they represent every franchise, and many independent brokerages for all sizes from around the state.
Will transaction history be included in Greater Southern MLS?
Yes, brokers have the capability to copy their entire transaction history from all of their current MLSs in compliance with the new NAR MyDX policy.
Do REALTORS® need to belong to more than 1 MLS?
Do REALTORS® need to belong to more than 1 MLS? Every broker and agent can decide their own path but there may be a need for a time to belong to more than 1 MLS until a majority of listings and agents are added to Greater Southern’s Statewide MLS. Once critical mass is achieved, there will no need to belong to more than 1 MLS.
What is the cost of Greater Southern MLS?
Each participating association determines their own price for Greater Southern MLS services. It is possible to purchase an MLS Only subscription. To check on pricing for Greater Southern MLS, you can visit SWLAR and NABOR.
Do I need to join another Association to become part of Greater Southern MLS?
There is no need to purchase a secondary Association membership. You only need to purchase an “MLS Only” subscription. For a limited time, there is no set-up fee or other fees of any kind.
Do I need to leave my local Association to become part of Greater Southern MLS?
No, there is no need to leave your favorite association where you live, work and worship. You only need to purchase an “MLS Only” subscription. For a limited time, there is no set-up fee or other fees of any kind.
Is Greater Southern MLS controlled only by large brokers?
No, today there are over 60 brokerages of all sizes from around the state that own shares, plus two Association and the numbers are growing daily. Click HERE to see a list of all shareholders. The Board of Directors is made up of representatives of one small, mid-size and large Association as well as 3 small, 3 mid-size and 3 large brokers based on previous year transaction volume.
Will the Greater Southern MLS be selling MLS data to third parties?
No, Greater Southern MLS will not sell data gathered to any third parties.
Will the Greater Southern MLS sell any other types of derivative products with MLS Data?
No, Greater Southern MLS will not sell derivative products.
